The Promise of Spring at Tula

It may not feel like it, but we promise Spring is on the way.  We've transformed our shop in preparation.  It's now full of color, breezy fabrics, fresh prints, and the spirit of optimism.  I hope you'll forgive the poor lighting, but I tried to capture some inspiring displays in our store.  Nothing beats the real deal, though, so stop by for a visit soon!

Me & Kashmiere Out of the Box

This has become one of our most favored lines at Tula.  Me & Kashmiere is a Kashmiere, India-based collective that produces wraps and scarves, beginning with textiles from India--all painted or dyed by hand.  Each scarf is hand-woven using a variety of techniques.

We carry many weaves, prints, and colors--and they do sell out rapidly so make haste!

Burnout Ombre Tee $88 (we have this in aqua and lilac-as shown on tank)

Dieter Bennet Out of the Box

We are so excited about Dieter Bennet.  The line is a collaboration between a former sculptural art student and a merchandiser / stylist who worked for Jil Sander (can you tell?).  They are both locally based but the aesthetic is heavily European.

This collection features a soft but edgy-looking textural pallette of cotton blends.  The colors range from subtle nudes and darks to juicy citrus shades.  We think this designer is an excellent choice for the times: versitile, understated, optimistic.

From Top:

Crinkle Top $370 (skirt not in stock)

Strapless Dress $640

Crinkle Pleated Dress $640 (we have this in a pale yellow citrus)

Crinkle Skirt $420 (top not in stock)

Crinkle Sheath Dress $640

Dress Coat $759

Virginia Johnson Out of the Box

Virginia Johnson is a Canadian designer who uses an old-fashioned approach when designing accessories. Inspired by nature and world travels, she creates watercolor sketches and turns them into textiles. Not surprisingly, then, her pieces have a hand-crafted and painterly quality.
